Magnús Jon Björnsson (Iceland)

Magnus Björnsson graduated from the University of Iceland School of Dentistry in 1992. After 3 years as an associate in private practice in Reykjavik he spent a year at the Karolinska Institute Department of Periodontology, Stockholm. He finished his Ph.D. in periodontology from the University of Copenhagen School of Dentistry in 2001.

Since 2006 he has been one of the owners of a private dental clinic in Reykjavik, Iceland, focusing on peridontology and implant dentistry. From 2015-2022 Magnus was an Assistant Professor at the University of Iceland School of Dentistry as well as a specialist at the University Hospital of Iceland.

He has also worked extensively for the Icelandic dental assiciation.Magnus has been on the EAO abstract committee since 2018 and is currently one of the co-chairs of the EAO Abstract Committee. He has held numerous lectures on dentistry, mainly within the field of periodontology and implant dentistry
